Boring bonnet latch question - V12V

Hopefully a quick one that one of you can can confirm for me. I think there should be some sort of nut/grommet/bung/thing that covers the hole currently exposed between the two Torx screws on my secondary bonnet latch (the spring loaded catch towards the front of the bonnet). Would one of you mind just confirming or should I be leaving my hole exposed as AM intended.....

Mine has what looks like an M10 flange nut there

Hmmmm. So it seems for some reason some have no nut and some have a nut fitted?

Not surprisingly, my 2007 v8 has the same unfilled hole
