NMR Mileage discrepancy, should I be worried?

Hope some more experienced people can give me some advice. I've just done a HPI check on a car I am interested in, and there's an alert for a mileage discrepancy.
It's a 2015 Honda car, so there's no MOT data before 2018. The car has had two keepers, the second (current) keeper registered the car in Apr 2018.
The drop in mileage from 31,215 to 9,110 is what I guess raised a potential issue, is it possible the car was "clocked"?
What is meant by "Recorded by Manufacturer", has Honda sent NMR the mileage data?
Very grateful for any advice, buying a car second hand is quite a daunting experience!

Regardless of whether it turns out to be a mistake or not it'll stop many people buying the car when it comes to you selling it.
So consider how long you want to own it, and what it'll be worth when you're finished with it.
My efforts in the past at having the records changed for obvious mistakes has been poor, almost like banging one's head against a wall.
The NMR will only change a reading if asked to by the person/company who recorded that reading.
And if that's the DVLA forget it.
So my advice is to find another car, as I'd say "no thanks" if you offered that car to me.

If so give them a call to see if they have any early service history.
I've weeded out many a clocked car this way.
That's quite a large discrepancy, I'd walk, it's not worth the risk if you're paying a premium for it being a low mileage model.
There may be a legitimate reason for the difference, however, another reason to clock a car is to hide its past. It is reasonably common that HPI clear cars have hidden past.

I think it's a car I would keep for as long as it runs to be honest, I couldn't afford to keep changing cars every few years.
I'll text my dad for the reg number I don't remember it!
The dealer said to me they were selling the car for a family friend, I saw the V5C document still had the women's name on it.
Any thoughts on what "Recorded by manufacturer" means? I've Googled it but can't seem to find out.

This would also be a cause for concern - are they selling it as a dealer (with guarantee) or are they just brokering a "private" sale? Unless it's something rare or priced very attractively, I'd give it a miss!
