As per subject looking to buy one of these as a present for my son. Seems prices have jumped up on other models (SKX etc) and the best price i I can see from a trusted seller is £126 at creation.

Are they still a safe bet and will I get hit for import / vat or does paying for the Royal Mail no box option improve my chances of avoiding tax / handling fee compared to DHL free shipping ?

Thanks

The last fee times I've been charged when importing from creation so I would factor it into the price.

For my recent Seiko purchase I selected RM at +£7 and it arrived in a week in a Seiko box and no further duties.

I recently bought a Seiko from Creation and everything went perfectly smoothly.

I wasn’t pinged for customs charges on arrival here, but I’m actually in Frankfurt.

I’d recommend them.

So - I wonder if there is any data to suggest if those paying the extra for Royal Mail are less likely to incur VAT and an admin fee compared to the free dHL post option ?

Make sure you pay by PayPal. I ordered a watch and when the package arrived it had been opened, and the G-Shock inside wasn't there. Clearly some scrote had stolen it as the bubblewrap inside was torn open.

Creation were a bit awkward saying I need to take it up with Singapore post. A few days of this and i got bored - PayPal refunded me in 48h.

I have purchased from Creation several times and never had an issue.

Budget for the additional charges on top and then if you don’t get charged, you have ‘saved’ a few quid smile

Royal mail will indeed improve your chances, the chance of avoiding duty with DHL is nil.

Mine came royal mail, posted from a hub in Manchester so I guess they airfreight in bulk or keep some UK stock.

That's a great price, I think it's clearance as there is a new 5 range just out and CW have quite a few 5's at around £130

Thanks everyone.

Have ordered and opted for Royal Mail to give them some business!

And found a discount code so even cheaper.

Just have to wait now for delivery.

Watch arrived today. It was delivered by Royal Mail and was posted from within the UK on a signed for delivery so no tax / import to pay.
