718 - whistling noise

If you have PPF on the car then it will whistle.

I’ve had the same whistling problem on my Cayman GTS, I eventually isolated the problem to the rear spoiler. There’s a join between the top and bottom parts on the front edge of the spoiler, this was causing the whistling.
To test this tape up the front edge, the moment this was done the whistling vanished. I was then able to get a new spoiler fitted under warranty and haven’t heard a whistle since.
I did also remove the PPF on the door mirrors, it was a waste of time and money, it made no difference at all.
