Whilst reversing into a parking space yesterday I stalled the car. :paperbag: Then it wouldn't start again immediately. A guy helped me push the car to park. After 5 minutes still no joy! :banghead: As I didn't want to drain the battery I left the car for an hour. It started first time when I got back. :bounce: I don't understand why it wouldn't start immediately after the stall? Is this normal?

Could've been that the engine flooded...?

Whenever I stall, I always turn off the ignition, switch it back on and let the fuel pump reprime, and start it up again.

that happened to me recently (chimeara) there's nothing quite so embarrasing as having your p&j look foolish.

I suspect'd flooding, mine wouldn't start right away but fortunately it was early morning (serves me right for trying to leave without waking people up), leaving it for a couple of minutes was enough to get it going again.

not something that seems to happen with most modern boxes.

Many modern calls won't start if you stall them after a short reverse out of the drive from cold. The AA man I called out once for something said it was very common, esp. on German cars.

I stalled my T350 for the first time ever last week. I'd driven about a mile and just didn't give it any gas as I pulled away from the lights. Took me about 6 or 7 tries before I finally got it to fire up. Luckily the cars behind were patient.

If you turn it over with your foot full on throttle it should start after stalling.

or USE THE FORCE
