I admit I am a bit OCD about having a plate sitting nicely on the car - but this gets tricky with big grille cars like say an R8 and mine. Often what the manufacturers supply is a monstrosity mount!

I got this far on mine using plasterboard spring clips which work remarkably well - but hate the two white lumps.

Does anyone know of any better solutions for mounting a neat plate tight to the grille - maybe an R8 owner?

Thanks - almost losing sleep over those white caps biggrinwink >twitch<

A smaller plate attached in the same way with the plate then stuck on using sticky pads seems an option.

In my experience the adhesive on sticky pads softens during hot weather and then the plate falls off.

Abit pricey and I'm not sure on the outcome...

I've never had one fall off in the 16 years I've had a private plate. And from my experience of trying to remove plates I'd be very surprised if one ever did!

Thanks for the suggestion - mine is cropped tighter than a standard plate and is a snidge smaller too. I'm knocking up a custom ali backing plate. Cant see any solutions elsewhere. Cheers.
