Just had a simple dinner of Barilla pesto and pasta, and i was exclaiming to the OH does she remember the brand i got once from (i think ) home bargains! (send me ot the council thread already!) - i go in them as they often have unusual products from brands eg frys raspberry and strawberry creams, that you dont see anywhere else.

Anyway i digress.

It could have been B&M but fairly sure Home Bargains, but for the life of me i cannot rememebr the manufacturer/brand of this what i though was amazing pesto from HB. it was made in Italy and in addition to basil they at least did red pepper and ricotta.

it wasnt;

Barilla (although i really like that)
Sacla
Garafolo
Belazu (althugh there rose harissa one is nice)
Feilippio Berio
Napolini

any one have any idea what this brand may have been, repeat it was an italian brand actually made in italy per the small print on the label.

Ive googled all manner of things and looked at the respective websites with nothing.

And before anyone says dont buy pre made pesto, home made is so much better, take it to another thread.

Any help greatly appreciated as its really peiing me off not being able to find/remember it.

thanks

Good luck. I find things in HB dont come back in. I got firecracker chicken wings in the freezer once. Best wings, hottest wings iv ever had. Biggest bag and Never been back in store. I have a feeling they buy end of line stock so you may not ever get that one again.

braved home bargains today - they have a brand of pesto (in addition to the filippio berio) called bella ricetta, however they also seem to have other generic italian stuff by them and the label suggest its from Liverpool, with no italian on it, and google draws a blank, so assume its just a home bargains own brand.

annoying as ive drawn a blank on the brand im trying to find!

Tesco finest pesto (from the fridge, not in a jar) is the best I have tried - closest thing to pesto you can make yourself.

Why not make your own and store it in a killer jar. It's so easy and much better.

Fair enough. Some other possibles that I know of. Just not sure if HB ever sold them!
