C W205 Air Freshener

I got it from amazon but doesn't fit and always falls out of place. Am I missing some sort of plate to hold it in place?

Is it a knockoff. If it doesn't slip into the magnetic holder and stay in place, in the glove box it isnt OEM and therefore won't work!
