Can anyone identify this tool?

Mum's been sorting out her shed and came across this that used to belong to my Dad. He was a model maker at Ford but she seems to think this was given to him by someone for something he was doing at home. I guessing it's an etcher of some kind.

Seems they were used to make the tongue side of tongue and groove floor boards. Well that's what Wikipedia says anyway.

that looks like a push bike chain splitter, or pushing pin out of watch strap

I think the pin is too weedy to break a bike chain. Although it’s threaded so different sizes could be fitted

And then on the other hand seems a bit overkill for a watch strap pin.
Nothing to hold the watch with either.

Definitely for watch pins. I have one the same in a drawer somewhere.
