Following yesterday's announcements, has anyone seen anything to say they can stay on their boat overnight? I'm not talking about anchoring in the middle of nowhere, but confirmation from harbour authority or marina.

Obviously I can phone my own marina but its also whether you can cruise to another destination.

My take is that if you can camp, you can cruise (...sounds a bit wrong, that)

I haven’t heard anything officially from the marina yet. I’m going with 4 July although looks like a number of people are already staying overnight.

The inland position is that the CRT have OK'd it. The EA will follow their standard operating procedure (namely, do nothing for a week while they eat biscuits and see what everybody else is doing, then copy them). Not sure where the BA is on it.

Now need to understand where we can go.

Long range weather forecast for July 4th............yup. Not the same as today is about the best thing to say about it

This just in from the EA:

"Overnight stays. We are pleased to let you know that overnight stays on boats will be allowed from 4 July 2020. This includes private leisure boats as well as commercial hire boats and hotel boats. Individuals and operators should follow Government guidance on social mixing outside of household groups. This is not only great news for private boat owners but also for the hire boat and hotel boat businesses who have not been able to operate so far during the lockdown. We very much look forward to supporting these waterway businesses to restart and have already produced some information, with support from British Marine, which businesses can use with their customers. For other waterways businesses, Government is reviewing the Inland Waterways and Coastal Boat Use Guidance (issued on 11 June) in light of the latest announcements by the Prime Minister."
