I must say the media response was a bit muted, meh, seen it all before.

What does any of that even mean? They cant condemn the killer? Find me someone that isn't in ISIS who hasn't or woulsnt condemn this behaviour. We dont need to be out there protesting because of this because we all know it is wrong and we know everyone else thinks it is too. Might as well hold a protest against the sun setting at night or flooding.

The difference in reactions (from the public, the media etc) is because the two things aren't comparable, even remotely.

It's a bit like saying "There were 1,870 fatalities on UK roads during 2019 but you won't see the lefty Beeb or luvvie celebs protesting about THAT".
