I have a 997 GTS. It’s been sitting for 3 months on a trickle charge. The battery is healthy. When I start it the engine will only roughly idle and pressing the throttle does not increase revs beyond this idle.
I’ve unclipped the battery for a minute and reconnected hoping this may reboot the ECU but no difference.
Any ideas?

Are you getting any puffs of smoke, are both banks firing ? is it lumpy or smooth ?

Its not still plugged in to the charger is it ?

Fuel ?

Mine sat from Oct to June this year and fired up first time so somethings not right ?

Mine was also sat for 3mths and fired straight up. So some thing's not right.

Throttle pedal moving OK? All other stuff mentioned above...

Do you have access to a multimeter? If so set it to DC V and suitable range, and with the charger disconnected measure the battery voltage, then do the same with charge connected - and let us see the results.

Any warning lights/messages such as "Reduced engine power"?

I had something similar which turned out to be an issue with the high pressure fuel pump, but the symptoms with mine manifested while driving.

Good luck.
