2009 Aston Martin DBS window issue
Discussion
Hello everyone,
About a year ago i bought a black 2009 DBS with manual transmission, 9500 miles, beautiful car from every angle!
During the PPI, they advised me there was some wind noise from the driver side window, so I was aware of this minor issue when i bought the car.
I brought the car in for a service where they would take care of this.
After I picked up the car, I realized it was still there, that hair thick gap close to the mirror. I went back with the car, and it was fixed again.
A few days later, I went for a drive, and it was back again....
This time i figured il check it out my self, and after a lot of reading about this issue, i took off the entire door cord and adjusted the window myself with the adjustable window bolt. It was perfect!
However, next time i went for a drive, it came back again. Again i went to the workshop, and they also realized that after adjusting it, it actually slips down again. The Mechanic thought it may be some "slack" in the window mechanism which give away after we adjust it....Or suggested the shape of the window could be marginally off the shape off the frame...
I realize there is a lot of information online about this issue, but appear most are able to adjust it with the screws, or the electronic "reset" function.
I am at roads end, and not sure what to do, anyone have any input on this one?
Highly appreciate any feedback on what could be a next step

i did suggest the same to the Mechanic, but he claim this was not the case, and that he tighten the bolt as hard as it gets..He actually insinuated that it could be a "slack" in the entire window hoist system, which would give in when the window was raised.
Maybe your right though, mechanics are still to come up with alternative, so perhaps worth trying. Any specific locktight to use?

Changed the window regulator, as well as using some locktite on the adjusting bolt solved it! Finally! That annoying wind noise finally gone!
I also had to adjust the window to its maximum "up" position. Strangely enough, even at its max "up" position, its not as high up as the window on the passenger side.
Anyway, it worked, thanks a lot for the tip on the regulator, around 400 bucks spent, and wasn't too hard to change it out actually.
