Help with YouTube Web page
Discussion
The last couple of days, we've been unable to get the YouTube we page to load. I get the error in the screenshot. This is happening on all browsers, yet it was working fine last week.
It's required for the home schooling, as they send out links to videos for phonics, maths and reading.
I have downloaded and run a virus checker, I have run Malware Bytes and it found now issues. Now when I load YouTube, Malware bytes reports the Web page as suspicious and won't allow me to load it either.
The Web page works fine on all phones
I'm at a loss here. Can't format and do a fresh start on the laptop, as I haven't a clue where the disc is that came with it
Any ideas?
Its Windows 10

Can you double check your time and date on the laptop? An incorrect date can occasionally result in such messages and it's the easiest fix! Can you think of any changes/updates that have been made/applied in the last week? It may give an indication as to what is causing this issue. Are you receiving this message for any other websites? I'd also try downloading Firefox and see if you still receive the error message ...
Otherwise, usual stuff:
-Ensure browsers are running latest versions
-Clear browsing history and cookies
-Clear SSL cache in Internet Options
Let us know how you get on!

I wouldn't go as far as a clean install yet - unless the machine is only used for internet stuff - but you can download W10 from Microsoft and install it whenever you wish.
You may not get any Asus bloatware that the machine originally came with - which may be no great loss.
However, first thing I'd try is to create a new user account, and see if that has the same problem - and ensure it's not an Admin account (which I'm guessing your current one is) - as it makes it more difficult to accidentally install rubbish.
If you're looking for suspicious installs, then you can have a look for recent downloads in the downloads folder, or for recent installs in the Settings>Apps>sort by install date.

Could be a DNS problem?
Try going to "Control Panel", then "Network & Sharing Centre" and on the left click "Change Adapter Settings". In there, right click on whatever you're using for internet, be it your wifi or ethernet and click "Properties".
Where it says "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" click on it and then properties.
You should then get a box pop up and at the bottom will be a greyed out box saying "Obtain DNS server automatically" - instead tick the box underneath that says soimething like "Use the following DNS addresses" and in the boxes put 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 whichever you prefer.
Save it and see if youtube then loads. If it fixes it then good, if not then I'd leave it as it is anyway as they'll be better than your ISP DNS.

Essentially, the error message appears when a secure connection cannot be made to a website (utilising HTTPS), which usually points an SSL certificate issue. It’s possible to have such an issue at either the web server, or the client machine. An incorrect/invalid/missing SSL certificate will result in this message.
That said, the above isn’t always the cause for the error. The most common is incorrect time/date on a client PC. I’d still try my suggestions first before going further ...
