This hasn't happened because of the furlough scheme.

It's happened because some people are bell-ends.

They can't end the Furlough scheme, they have to keep up the illusion of these millions of people actually having a job to go back to for as long as possible.

The current plan is to kick the can down the road and hope everything is going to be OK.

This happened the last time we had some warm weather and no one wanted the furlough stopped.

Its typical give them an inch and they ll take a mile attitude.

But a great % of those on that beach will be the ones refusing to send there kids back to school that much id like to bet on.

The reason this happened isn't furlough.

The reason this happened is because many people are incapable of common sense and self control.

Weird things seem to happen in this country when the sun comes out.

Fair comment bell-ends was a bit harsh but you've got to be daft not to see that one coming and perhaps think "do I really want to be going to Bournemouth today?".

I don’t think I’d want to go to Bournemouth on any sunny day, CV19 or not. I quite like a beach, but I just can’t see how it can be even slightly pleasant to be crammed onto one like that.

I really don’t see what the problem is

Some people are not at work
Some people are not at school
Many ‘places to go’ remain closed
It’s boiling hot outside
People are allowed to go to the beach
Going to the beach is free

P.S. there is loads of evidence to suggest that Covid doesn’t spread much outdoors

Chill out everyone

We were driving up to London from Bournemouth this am, they were pouring down at 8am. Was hellish coming home.

So is this a Covid issue or a litter issue?

If it’s litter than the local authorities should deal with it in the same way that they would normally during any busy summer day

I'm with rover 623gsi on this.
What I've seen on social media its mostly locals complaining about outsiders on "their" beaches.

They should get the fire brigade to turn up with high pressure hoses and flush all the st into the sea. And by st, I don't mean the left-behind litter.

Crapping into burger cartons FFS...

I'm sure there's a bit of that.

If you live at a tourist resort I don't think you can complain when there are tourists but I can see their perspective that the volume in the current climate (pandemic not weather) is insane.

Either way it's not a furlough thing.
