Apparently the hotel where the stabbings happened is currently being used for asylum seekers and other homeless...

My Wifes best friend works on that street. Threat is over as the attacker has been shot. Sounds like there are a lot of casualties.

Right outside my office, we've had training in the conference rooms of that hotel. Glad to be WFH still frown

It must be manic there right now. Way too close to home.

Good job of the Police stopping this nutter.

I hope the injured officer is okay, and the reports of deaths are premature.

Aye, I'm very impressed at how quickly armed police responded.

Incidents like this are timely reminders that when everyone is running for cover our Police officers and other Emergency Services are running towards danger to protect us

Hopefully the Officer is ok

RIP to those who have reportedly been killed

Very close to home, my office is round the corner on St. Vincent street and I walk past there every day - when not WFH. Thankfully it'll have been much quieter than normal.

My brother is on shift at the moment (Police) and been called to it, but thankfully wasn't involved in the incident itself.

IMHO best way and good riddance.

I don't care who the attacker was, or their motive (if there was one).

Dreadful news for victims and their families and friends. Hopefully the officer dispensing the ultimate deterrent does not face undue scrutiny.

And yet if the BLM rasclarts get their way there would be no funding for this sort of the response and that terrorist would have been able to carry on his rampage.

Terrible news. Used to walk down West George Street everyday going to work.

Incidents like this remind us how much we need a well equipped and resourced police force. Yet there's aholes out there that want to "defund the police".

Apparently the perpetrator was killed by police and a police officer injured. Hopefully not seriously.

As it is PH we need to know if it is a ‘terrorist’, ‘racist’ (if so, what kind), ‘homophobic’ or just ‘random nutter’ incident.

Can we rewind 2020 and start again please?
