I wonder if I inhabit a parallel universe ?

Apologies this is Covid related but I wonder if I live on a different planet to the majority of people ( those who know me would say definitely)
Bear with me.
I’m referencing what’s going on and has been going on with regard to how things have been during “Lockdown “
I go to the Supermarket, there’s no queue. Shelves are full no fighting over a loo roll. I don’t see anyone jumping out of my way or behaving oddly if you walk the wrong way down an aisle. It really seems little different to pre CV.
People were saying ( on here for instance) “All the shops are shut, you can’t get ???. Most of the shops near me seemed to be open as usual. Superdrug, Wilko, Tesco etc, hardware stores, general stores, you could get a coffee or Chicken meal. No fuss no drama.
Went to Brighton on Wednesday. Had a fantastic day walking round the Lanes, on the sea front. Parked easily, sauntered around, no hassle you wouldn’t have known Covid existed.
I went swimming today. Plenty about, no litter, no fights breaking out just people chilling.
Everywhere I go, everything I do seems to bear virtually no relation to what’s expressed on PH or on the news.
I’m wondering if I inhabit a different universe.
Any thoughts?

Maybe you do; I've certainly noticed differences, perspex screen by the self service checkouts, arrows on the floor, less "essential" shops closed for the foreseeable,no pubs. None of it has been massively onerous, but definitely, different. (Oh and for the first three weeks of lockdown, bog roll was an unrequited dream.)

I’ve seen loads of pubs open and selling. You can’t sit inside but with such fantastic weather I can’t imagine many would want to.How can that be normal?
So I accept pubs aren’t fully open but again I’m seeing it very differently. Go up to the door , give your order, pint is pulled off you go. No issue at all.

Arrived in Brighton-Not much traffic, Parking easy, beach not packed, not much litter, plenty of places open, chippy, coffee shops, Loos, it seemed no different to PRE CV.

I don’t know Brighton well, but given the weather, lack of traffic, easy parking, non-packed beach and relatively litter free all sound out of the ordinary to me Cudd Wudd said:
