This site is still up and running if you know where to look and I use it for various things from time to time, it does have its fair share of torrents for pirated stuff on there though surprisingly enough. Just recently though they have started plugging a VPN site on there saying its not safe etc. etc. the usual. Even if you accessed it over TOR it still claimed you were vulnerable so it was obviously just a marketing scam.

A while ago they made it impossible to access any torrents unless you actually signed up for the VPN, then it seemed to work normally again and now you cant access the torrent link again unless you go the VPN route.

Now this leads me to a question, given that 90%+ of their users probably go out of their way to get various stuff for free that they should really be paying for are they perhaps the wrong target audience to try and sell something to? Surely the only way someone like that will ever entertain using a VPN service is if they can scam a free one from somewhere.

As you say, the tech savvy ones don't bother clicking the spamverts and just use the magnet links. It's the 0.01% that fall for it that make all those ads worth writing.
