Hi

As the title says I'm looking for a good Bluetooth OBD2 scanner. Particularly for my Audi TT and my wife's Mini Cooper D.

I have one that was on eBay for about £15, no idea of branding, but it works perfectly.

I have an ELM327. Was very cheap but fine for basic Code Reading and limited Sensor Values.
Need to make sure it will work with the Device you intend connecting it to. Windows, Android or iOS.

For the Audi, I believe you can get VCDS/Vag Com quite cheaply.
Colleague has for his VW and it goes a lot deeper than using a generic Reader.

Are you an Android or IPhone owner?

For the Audi TT, go for Carista on iPhone or OBDEleven on Android. For OBDEleven, you only need the basic €40 dongle to start with and the app installed to read codes etc. It comes with its own credits system which you can buy or upgrade to the pro edition software if you want to do more complicated coding.

Good call. I went for Carista, in the end.
