Would anyone recommend the best way to do this?

I have an unlocked older gen Huawei that is knackered and a newer unlocked sim free Huawei and want to transfer everything over. I have checked that the sim card is 100% compatible and should just swap across and i'm staying on same provider network.

However my older phone has an additional sd card in it with 60GB worth of music and images - and the newer phone doesn't have an expansion slot for sd cards but has 128GB onboard so more than enough space.

Short of the old fashioned "use a pc intermediate" method that I've always done in the past (though for not nearly this much data) does anyone know of an easier way to transfer from the sd card to the new phone?

Huawei provide a phone clone app but I think it is assuming that both phones are using different sim cards to register on network and won't work without it?

Cheers

The phone clone app works just fine. You just need the app on both phones and follow the instructions. It is not concerned about the SIM.

I think it just needs Bluetooth and WiFi. It worked for me migrating from a Motorola to the Huawei phone I have now.

That's good to know. So all I'll have to do is put the Sim in the new phone to download the Clone app and it should work from there? I wasn't sure if a) it would launch and work without a sim card in and b) if it would also copy from the original phone's separate sd card.

Thanks!

Just to second phone clone, download to both phones and off you go. Tells you what it can't transfer too, if anything.

Done it several times both between huawei phones, different android brands an my sister didn't report any issues iPhone to huawei either.
