Pointless films
Discussion
Occasionally films are released that finish with no ending or conclusion (other than life goes on)
We have the news for that crap and no matter how fantastic the acting or cinematography is, the film leaves you feeling robbed due to the lack of any ending, pointless so to speak
Recently I fell for the trap with No country for old Men
Billed as a thriller it has the makings of a great story but falls miserably flat with subplots and stories that don’t really link into the main story as they aren’t given time to develop.
Fantastic acting but immediately let done when the main plot suddenly ends (via a post incident cut scene) and then 30 minutes of crap follows before the credits suddenly appear
What others fall into this bin of avoid?

A couple of recent films certainly divided critics when it seemed, like No Country, they ran out of ideas for the 3rd act, couldn't be arsed
to tie up the loose ends or have a convincing endgame to explain what just happened in the previous 80 mins.
Three Billboards just gave up and died for the last reel and a half
Hereditary nicked the ending from a different film and hoped no-one twigged.

Completely agree about No Country For Old Men. Great film and then suddenly WTAF? I don't get the universal praise heaped on it considering the way it just petered out. It was like the writer died three quarters of the way through writing the story but they made the film anyway and just made up their own "ending" but then couldn't even be @rsed to finish that.
Still, at least it was enjoyable most of the way through which is more than can be said of a huge number of other films.
