Great piccies reliant,

Nice close up of #58..

I'd love to know how you got to the inside of the Mulsanne corner, is it a case of who you know ?

It's a secret

seriously: as I'm French, I meet and spoke a lot with a man who check your tickets at Houx gate and like guys can go everywhere on the track, he take me at "Playstation" (First #58 pic) and "Mulsanne" (where the cars run at 3 metres)
Fantastic !!!

some other pics from here tomoroow

Nothing special really...

More later. Also it was great having hospitality with the TVR guys.

I got on the other side of Mulsanne corner, still downloading piccies.

By standing on a hill, then having the additional height by standing on an upturned bin you can see without virtually any obstructions

We went through the forest for about 2 miles at 2.30am to get right up close to the Mulsanne straight. Tricky dodging the marshalls but was worth it when we got there, an amazing experience.

There were quite a few doing the same, most got caught and sent back.

Supraman, those are great !

For next year, I want to know where you were to get those - I didn't venture far on my first trip, but obviously there are places to be that I don't know about

They were with a Canon 300D and a Canon 100-400l IS Lens

They were taken at Mulsanne Corner. You can see over the fence normally. Upturn a Bin and you can get even higher

Almost the same as my gear. 10D and 100-400.
I guess you must have shot at 250/1 or quicker as the wheels are frozen.
I kept mine at 125 to capture motion blur, but of cause you lose some sharpness then.

My pics are here:

Good photos there. I filled up a 1 gb and 512mgb card. Around 500+ photos in all. Also took a load on my S1 IS Point & shoot.

I took mine on sport mode. Probably somewhere around 1/1600 to 1/2000 sec.

Was aware of the freezing of the wheels so took the speed down for the shots from the Grandstand.

And one of the Esses.

Thank you Gents! PM me an email address and I'll send a copy over. I was quite chuffed with it too. It was obviously worth hanging over the the balcony on the Wednesday evening having spent most of the day getting soaked!
