Well just remember to do it
New hsf arrived a big sythe fuma 2 to replace it the stock and noise machine. Anyway I get cracked on with replacing it I mount the fans , clean the CPU IHS pop on new paste then take of that covering off the heatsink mating surface then the door goes,once back from the door I screw it down and power it on

Great it boots all gone well check temps it's idling at 60 ish at desktop kick off cinebench hmm 3200 score and temps hitting 91

This new cooler is st!

Try again why is it performing do badly it's only hitting 3.8ghz

Hmm decide to check its mounted well

Try again still same intact it hits overtemp and shuts down 🔥

Oh st what have I done!

So I take the heatsink off and what ya know the protective sticker I took off is back on there 🤯

Quickly I remove it clean IHS and repaste it and temps plummit in cinebench I'm now hitting over 3700 at 4.325ghz only getting to 72deg

So make sure you do remove the sticker and don't get distracted like I did thankfully no damage done and the new cooler is great
