Good Afternoon,

I have a small sum around £2500 to put away for my 5 week old son and have been researching Junior ISAS i would be looking to top it up each month by around £30-£40. But am a little apprehensive on where is best to do this for the next 18 years.

So far i am swaying towards a wealthsimple stocks and shares or hargreaves lansdown. I have no stocks and shares of my own and am unsure if i should just bung it in a cash ISA instead.

I imagine a lot of you have had both. With the current state of affairs i imagine a stocks and shares might have potential to grow more or is that naive of me ?

Any pointers would be appreciated or stories of a successful nest egg generated for your children.

All the best,

Josh

Clearly its long term so stocks and shares all the way. Go for a fund with low management fees (trackers are often amongst such) then sit back and enjoy the ride

Thank you this was my initial thought as well.. Will take on board the management fee comment. (also your user name is rather unique LOL)
