Is it 100% due to Covid risk, or a government spin, sending the warning far and wide to the naughty boys and girls they havent been able to control this last month ?

My apologies, I'll say it again. Is it 100% due to Covid risk, or a government spin, sending the warning far and wide to the naughty boys and girls they havent been able to control this last month ?

The govt would never choose a prominent immigrant area for such an experiment.

If it leaked they'd be finished given the current climate.

The problem is that it isn’t an experiment: with its high migrant population it is a vector for reintroduced infection:

I'm not saying it is or if I agree with it or not; just responding to the OPs assertion.

Leicester local here formerly from London.

Honestly people here have been behaving like penises.

Whilst I understand that the very recent opening of testing facilities smack bank in the city centre have no doubt added to the numbers, still see above.

I would say the disobedience really spiralled after the Cummings fiasco, it has largely been BAU since then.

I have been in the office the past two weeks and daily on the buses people are on, no masks, the city centre has been heaving since the shops were re-opened.

Houses of multiple occupancy too are a serious issue (not in the legal sense). No doubt this is a problem in many cities, however, the spotlight is currently on Leicester.

I noticed London was busy today too. I'm still trying to keep away from the CV19 plague carriers as best I can.

Quite, if you notice some of the places were spread has been much higher than you would expect it's in the Gulf states where you have either labour camps or people cramped together in shared facility apartment blocks.

Thats one way to kick off fiscal investment AND increase the UK real estate values.

The loosening of restrictions for pubs and restaurants in England on Saturday will also not be taking place there.

Last word of said paragraph!

It only applies to Leicester and surrounding area, not rest of country. Its badly worded (or the BEEB doing its usual alarmist flag waving).
