Adam Savage - "raping Blob"

Some very serious allegations have been made against the former Mythbusters presenter by his sister. What ever the truth is, clearly a lot of damage has already been done to that family. It appears they have been living with the allegations for some time.

It was a long time ago, so any evidence is long gone. And given he was allegedly 9-12 years old is he even culpable under US law for minors? Can Savage ever expect a fair trial? This sort of coverage does go to the "no smoke without fire" And we saw how Johnny Depp was ostracised for apparently being a wife beater, until he has managed to prove his innocence.

This is why all sexual assault cases should be anonymous until conviction imo.

In light of the "metoo" we are apparently to believe ALL women when they claim assault. But from that article, she's accused various family members of things over the years. And seems to have self estranged herself from them.

Time will tell I guess

How can there be any kind of meaningful trial in this case? Something that happened, or didn't happen, 40 years ago when they were both under 10.

Nope, quite the opposite but I attempted to post my OP without bias which I think I accomplished.

In fact...........it’s the nick name that destroys the validity for me. Adam was a skinny child so why would he call himself the “Blob”? That’s why my “unbiased” post was already leading in retrospect.

As I said in the OP though, damage has been done to that family, whatever the truth.

Not sure I would have known what rape/raping was that age, especially in the seventies, kids were generally more naive then.

I am sure stuff like that went on (not saying it did/didn't in this case) but knowing those words and deciding to call yourself "The Raping Blob" as a child seems unlikely, as does the self awareness to deem those acts as raping his sister.
