Best adhesive tape for a door seal

Brilliant stuff i have a bodyshop and we use this stuff all the time i stuck seals on my Transporter 5 years ago and they have never let go.
It is very thin and you can apply it over old tape so no need to clean all the old tape off

If you want something even more heavy duty you could also go for 3M VHB double sided tape it's a bit thicker and you will have remove all traces of any old tape

Theoretically the vhb tape is more weather resistant but we have never had refix tape fail us, and i find it is easier to work with
