306bhp, 54kWh battery, and looks gorgeous. Still built on a ladder chassis though. £135k and they're only building around 50.

Surprised this didn't generate more comment. I love the idea of en EV "classic", £138k is a lot of cash though...!

I love the concept of electrification of classics.

But one of the key factors of the cobra is the V8 growl coming out of the side exit exhausts.

If you take that away you take away part of its soul

You say that, but the other new cars they're building will be fitted with a Ford four cylinder ecoboost engine. Hardly the height of thrilling exotica. I think the electric makes a better prospect.

On the whole though, I'd probably rather plump for something like a Vanderhall Edison. Looks cool, really fast, emissions free, and about a quarter the price of the Cobra.

It's an Ace rather that a Cobra anyway, which never came with a V8. They're just being cheeky with their naming as know it'll generate more interest.
