Door Mirror

Please can anybody remind me what the Cnimaera door mirror is borrowed from.

Its from a Citroen XM / CX I believe. You would never tell though. I am lead to believe that you can find them on a few different sports cars, but cant name them....

Macca XJ220 and a lotus I believe, but Citroen is the dealer to aim for

Citroen CX (if you find one that hasn't completely rotted away). Not XM.

If you find any please let me know - I could do with drivers side mounting bits (mine is slightly siezed and filled with silicone sealant). And I need one of the rubber bands (like a giant o-ring) if anyone has one.

Actually not all the CX had them either. The only CX that I have seen on the roads with the mirror is the CX Diplomat. Seen more XJ220 on the road so that by default must be an easier car to find in a scrappy :spin...

That could explain why I haven't seen many on CX's then either. Anybody tried to get one from a Jag dealer? Bet they're cheaper than TVR!

The metal brackets are only about £8 from your local TVR dealer, as for the o-ring there must be something close in B&Q

Holy thread ressurection! Was searching for something, saw this, couldn't let it sit!

All CX mk2s had these mirrors. There is no CX 'Diplomat' (possibly thinking of Prestige............or a Cavalier?) The mk1 CX had an older, squarer chrome type design.

VW Corrado mirrors are a good alternative, readily available and not expensive. Just drill a small hole if you have the later solenoid opener button
