I bet there are some really good pics on there , however as usual the yahoo site lets me sign in then wont let me access the group which apparently this morning it says does not exist!
I will need some more pics for the next Mag so if you get the chance please send them to editor@jago-owners-club.com at least that way I might get to see them....!
Only been away 3 days , my internet connection playing up big-time , dread to think what else is going to go wrong this week to punish me for having so much fun , might take Geep for MOT next week now , seeing as Honda had all the good luck and passed this morning

If you are still having problems getting on the Yahoo site I suggest you re-register as that should sort it out for you. The problems are normally caused by changing email addresses and Yahoo picks up that the old address is bouncing mail. Hope that solves you problem. If you contact me direct on transmissions@btopenworld.com with the membership name you use on the Yahoo Jago group I can check it out for you.

The technology exists, so can we have the ability to have our own picture galleries on the new JOC site?
What stands in the way of a better (larger capacity) picture hosting service that can show not only the up to date pictures that we are all enjoying submitting and looking at, but all the older ones; such as those great early JOC pics on Boldfish's site? (must run into hundreds!)
I guess the committee are the only ones that can answer this, and perhaps gives us an update on the progress of the new site generally.

The Yahoo site was set up as an email forum and the picture storage was a bonus. It is limited to 30MB of storage and we have, with the recent deletions, used 28MB. I think the problem that may arise with the Jago website is giving authority to upload files and the security problems that could arise from that but I shall leave that problem to Tony!

The new JOC site is still in development - I'm trying to find an off the shelf solution that meets all our needs, I think I have it, it's just about finding free time to configure it, after which all members will have their own space for images and articles etc - I'm thinking it will be a sort of online who's who of the JOC, with technical articles etc.
the photos I put up are on flickr.com which is a free photo hosting service (although I paid to extend it to the pro version) anyone could sign up and I suggest we all do - when the new site's up we should be able to move or link from flickr.

Thanks Tony.....once I get the hang of my new fangled digi-camera and learnt how to click on the right bits, I'll get some photos of my rebuild on Flickr
get hold of a copy of Picasa - it's free - makes getting pics off your camera easy - and organises them nicely.
it makes emailing pictures easy (and you can email pictures to Flickr!)

That's good news about the website, certainly sounds like the way it should go Tony - any ideas on timescale?
Your collection of photographs on Flickr are worth keeping and if club members have a way of posting their own pics of Jago experiences on their own club site it can only make it more enjoyable for everyone else.
Look forward to seeing more soon!

As I said somewhere else, as a self employed web developer, work comes in fits and starts and paid work takes precedence.
I have installed the technology, just working on a "look" for the site, but that could evolve.
I could use a couple of enthusiastic beta testers - if you have good IT skills that would help - to help me test what we have to see if it's any good, before we widen the net for all members.
any volunteers?
