Not sure if there is a thread already on this so delete if so but Hamilton the musical has aired on disney plus.

I paid £5.99 for the month to watch it and it was absolutely fantastic. Would recommend. The songs were brilliant and well written.

I find he can't hold the high notes as he clips the apex.

Really enjoyed it and when circumstances permit would very much like to see it performed live.

Saw the stage version last year. It's very, very good. You have to pay attention to hear all the lyrics or else you will get left behind.

I'd second that. We watched it last night and having subtitles really helped. I'd also suggest that knowing the real-life story of Hamilton and the Founding Fathers makes it more understandable and helps you to follow the plot.

Very enjoyable anyway - I could see what all the hype is about smile

I saw it in London last year and was absolutely blown away - and I hate musicals. I have to say I prefer the London Hamilton to Manuel Lin Miranda. The guy playing in him in London (Jamael Westford IIRC) had a much more physically imposing demeanour compared to Miranda. Its without question the best thing I've seen in the theatre.

Not sure whether it is the recorded audio, my sound system playing the music above the actors voices or simply my cloth ears... but it is very hard to keep apace and listen to the lyrics.

Instead of sitting back and watching the show - I'm intently focusing on trying to understand every syllable.

It is hard work. And too much for one sitting.

Oh so predictably it's already under fire for "promoting White Slave Traders positively" with calls for it to be "cancelled" abound on Twitter -

As much as I don't like The Guardian I agree with their 5 star review after I watched it myself and I thought it was great - https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2020/jun/30/hami...

I did not experience the same issue with sound as it was clear for me. I did have it playing on my 5.1 system though so maybe some separation helps. In fact, I was thinking how good it sounded as I have spent years fighting with the amp to get a good balanced sound.

What I will say is that I am not sure Lin-Manuel Miranda would have got the part if he did not write the musical. His voice is not great to my ears but I am not an expert.
