Biggest CF card a D70 can handle?

As above really! Whats the largest size of CF card the D70 will recognise and use?

The manual (p192) lists 4Gb Lexar and microdrives, and that's a year old now.

how come you got that far???

Muchly wonderful though a BIG card would be, I think a handful of smaller ones would be:

a) more cost effective
b) better insurance in face of card/sector failure
c) better insurance in case of user error....... "NOOOOOO!!!! I didn't mean to press those two buttons!!!!!"
d) more manageable for download


I have heard of people succesfully using 8Gb Microdrives (although slow and even less reliable than solid state so you won't get me there!)

I use three 1Gb cards (two from fleabay) so 500+ Raw at a time......
