Goretex laminate - how is it bonded?
Discussion
Ah, but did you mean 2-layer or 3-layer Gore-Tex clothing? And that's before considering any Armacor® or Superfabric reinforcement, which you can find in some of the better Gore-Tex clobber

I just wondered what process is used to physically bond the Goretex layer to the outerCordura layer?
Doesn't everyone know it's emulsion polymerisation?

Ah, thank you! Never saw that in any Google searches.
I've been watching the Motolegends videos on textiles and materials and it's fascinating how fabrics suitable for biking gear are now being constructed. Single layer jeans would normally have been a no no but learning how they weave materials together to make them stronger was very interesting.
And then you've got all the variations on the DWR coatings...so awareness of construction is quite a useful thing methinks.

While Motolegends reviews are entertaining, I prefer Australia's Motocycle Clothing Assessment Program because it's independent (not a retailer).
