Hello all, i have an issue with my LHS indicators on my 2002 Tuscan. I’ve tried everything I can think of and hope somebody has a fresh idea.

When the engine is on the LHS indicators flash fast, the same as when you have a bulb failure, however all the indicators are flashing so no bulb failures. Then when you press the hazards all indicators flash correctly.

When the engine is off the LHS indicators work correctly. The RHS always works correctly.

The resistor has already been fixed so that’s not the issue, I’ve tried different bulbs to no success, and I’ve tried checking the Earth to the front and side indicators isn’t the issue which didn’t fix it. Seems like the engine running somehow causes the indicator to flash fast.

Any help appreciated! Thanks, Lewis

You've gotta love these things!
Did you try substituting with a regular bulb?

There is a pcb somewhere i think on mk1's see this thread https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
There are a couple of capacitors on that board that could be suspect.

Thanks guys, electrics are definitely a TVR’s biggest problem!

I did try an alternative bulb which didn’t change anything, the PCB has been changed at Central TVR when this happened to the RHS

I’ve replaced the relay to see if this fixes it, I’ll know as soon as the roads dry up enough to take it for a spin. Cheers!

My first thought may be wrong, but do they have a flasher unit/relay? That would explain why it works with hazards but not alone.
