Fancy an i3, what do we need to know?

It's now about time that the wife gets into an EV as her use would really suit one now and we've loaned an i3 and really like them. She has a mint 2013 X1 2.0d x-drive that needs rid of but that shouldn't be too difficult to wrap in a deal. She's a director of two of my businesses and can conceivably put it through the books with any BIK breaks too.

However a cursory glance sees no great shakes on offers. We'd rather finance or lease to keep the cash in the companies, any great deals about?

Or should we be looking at something second hand-we're not of the opinion batteries set destruct at the end of their warranties. We realistically don't need a range extender version as have other vehicles for that. Her 25 mile round trip commute (mostly b road) seems made for one now and we have internal space for parking that suits a charge point.

How much are fast chargers to install these days?

Even a cheap Leaf is going to do that commute - it's an alternative thought

i3 some find susceptible to cross winds and can be a bit floaty front to rear

Zoe's seem to be a lot cheaper

I had one of these installed when I leased a Leaf.

Think it was about £800 fitted but there was a grant back then. Not sure if there still is now.

Not a fast charger in the respect of ones you see in m/way service areas but will charge easily overnight.

Lots of choices out there, less so when I got mine (5 years ago).

Leasing will be about £300 on a 3+23 8-10k per year looking at various websites.
