Keyboard shortcuts for accents - Why is MS Exchange odd???
Discussion
Hi all,
I quite often have to write in other languages, which means I have to include accented characters, but I'm using a UK keyboard, so don't have built in physical shortcut keys.
I generally use ALT+xxx to do this (eg ALT+133 = à) but for accents going to the other way, I've always used CTRL+ALT+letter, so CTRL+ALT+e = é.
That works brilliantly everywhere except for in Exchange, where instead of é I get €!!! Does anyone know why, or how to fix it? It's not s straight Microsoft thing, as I don't have the same issue in other Office products, and as it's the most common accented character I need, and completely embedded in muscle memory, I'd love to know how to change it so I don't keep sending out words including €!
