Hi,

Has anyone recently signed up for a Fixed deal?

I am due to expire on my existing rate soon so looking around and they are doing 250 quid cash back so wondering what the potential catch is.

Factor in the time it will take a bank to issue an offer at the moment and the legal process to switch. Some lenders are quicker than others.

Ok,

So lot of decent deals about, Santander current provider are offering some ok deals so wondering if its worth the aggro of moving about.

-Santander are doing a 2 year @ 1.34 and 1.69 interest for a 3 year.
-Barclays 1.39 for 3 years. (Also my current bank so might even be able to get a better deal on this?)

Some of the comparison sites give you the option of adding the fees onto the mortgage terms, is this sensible to reduce capex?

Oh and Santander also do 5 year @ 1043.

Just looking/researching and I think you need to pay more fees i.e. legal fees and valuation fees to remortgage to a new provider?
