He is flying at the moment, and Cup 2 R is an amazing tyre... but hugely impressive.

He also posted a brain-warping 1m12 at Donny National last week in a 718 GT4, with an alignment and just opening up the exhaust(OPF and BackBox) - not headers. Might have included a bit of chicane 'clipping'? lol - but still mad time.

I was at Silverstone yesterday also. Is that car crayon? If so explains the GT3RS that came flying past me at a very impressive rate. There was also a GT4, same colour in the same garage that was also going very well.

Yes

TTX shocks, Manthey pads, R spec tyres, track geo and a Pro driver = fast laps :-)

def rewriting the lap time rule book esp in the GT4 which on normal Cups and being manual is way more impressive imo.

The GT4 was impressive as well. I thought I was going well in mine, did two consecutive laps at 2:25.0 and he came past me during that run. I'm hoping that car has track geo as well as otherwise I'm going to feel a bit demoralised!

In a GT3RS??? Wow.... I was 2.28 in a 197 Clio in 2012, and I don’t think the tracks changed a lot since then???

It does have an alignment, and probably a few extra ponies liberated by OPF and Back box delete
You still in a 981?

Yes that's right. Only tweaks on mine are a slightly more track orientated geo, but with standard parts. And still loving the car!

it was 3.2 miles now 3.7 I think but about that sort of time 2011/2012, cannot see a 2.28 on the 3.7 layout in a Clio !

More like 25 to 30 seconds with me driving, although it feels a lot longer, but hey...

Impressive times even on Cup2R but.....imo that kind of claimed time should be properly backed up by a proper 10hz data recorder like a vbox or AIM unit rather than relying on in car systems, phone video or claimed timing off a gopro as the latter simply isn't very accurate and the claimed times are exceptionally quick given the car in question.

Really?? It’s the Porsche track app. It’s a brilliant app when it works. I feel quite sure at the very least it can count. You can look at his lap and time it separately if you like...

Yes really. IME, the app is not all that accurate and it may or may not actually count properly depending on what it's paired up with gps wise and certainly not as reliable as as a vbox/Race Navigator/AiM type unit.
