Vauxhall 1.3 a13fd

Hi all, I have a 2013 Vauxhall Combo 1.3 eco flex with engine code a13fd, ok I know these engines can cause problems and this one has, cam chain slack and possibly big end knocking. Now I don't mind rebuilding the engine but time isn't really on my side, will any of the other 1.3 cdti engines fit? I don't mind having to modify the routing of pipes or drill & tap holes that have to be done but no one local has any idea, or at least no one I have talked to as yet. Thanks in advance Russ

Why not just get a new car/cdv? It'd surely be cheaper and easier. Shirley.

The rest of the van is perfect so why get another? I might be buying someone else's troubles. If I rebuild or change the engine for another engine (known to be good) then that saves loads of money that at the moment is a bit low, unless you are offering to buy for me?
