Just been announced, 13th September.

Very exciting, but can't help thinking qualifying will be more exciting than the race there..

Initial thoughts are its good to see a new circuit on the calendar.

However due to the track layout, few overtaking opportunities? It will be comparable to Hungaroring?

Any thoughts if we’ll see tickets/spectators at Monza or Mugello?

I would quite like a trip to Italy...

Given that they own it and test on it how embarrassing will it be if Ferrari are still a second behind the Mercs?

I don't think they are planning on having spectators at any of the European races, Ross Brawn said recently that it may happen at some of the later flyaway races (none of which have even been confirmed yet) but they won't take any chances.

BBC also saying Portimao expected to be announced for a race after Russia. I've always wanted them to get a race after making that track to "F1" standards.

They haven’t tested at Mugello in a serious way in years. Publicity and filming days only. Wouldn’t be surprised if Ferrari do rock up with an older car and give Charles some laps though.

I wonder if the new tracks that are being draughted in for this season - if popular will be back next season? Could be tricky due to existing agreements etc to find the space, which in turn could be very frustrating if the likes of Mugello turn out to be fantastic but there isn't space for it to repeated..

Or maybe those circuits that like to pretend it's the last ever GP there due to costs, might find they get their bluff called if there are popular and willing alternatives smile

They did just that a few weeks ago smilehttps://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.i-neede...

Both drivers, in the 2018 car. Obviously the new ones a tad slower but I'm sure they'll adjust..
