Hi,

My laptop 10Gb HDD is nearly full. Not so long ago I was quite happy with a 10Mb HDD the size of a shoebox but those days have gone forever (I digress).

I would like to buy a 20Gb HDD to replace the 10Gb but I don't know how I would then get my data from 1 to the other simply.

Any suggestions?

Get a couple of adaptors to connect them both to a desktop PC and do it all there.

Get a 40 gig external USB HDD and use that to backup your data to. Use something like drive image and swap the drives over so you have 40 gig in your laptop and 10 in your external HDD. OR borrow an external HDD and fit a new HDD to your laptop

HTH
