Hi all
Hoping someone could help, I recently got a new battery for my car as my car had been sitting unused for a very long time. So I got a new battery on Wednesday, took my car for MOT on Thursday which had one fault to do with anti roll bar. I then collected the car friday drove it home fine. The yesterday I drove the car and it cut out after 10 minutes I then managed to get it started again and drove home. Now again today I went to use the car and it wouldnt start, the lights on the dash came on but nothing else. Eventually after a couple of turns it started, I then preceeded to drive the car and cut out after 5 minutes ans wouldn't start again. I calles AA who came out and basically said its the immobiliser, and said it will need to go to a vauxhall dealer as a independent garage won't be able to fix that. After looking up immobiliser faults people have said the engine management light will flash, mine hasn't flashed but instead stays lit up. Do you think it would still be the immobiliser. I know its not a lot of decent information I dont know much about cars.
Thanks

You've been given a diagnosis by somebody who deals with faults like this every day. You 'looking stuff up' is no substitute for that experience. They may be wrong, but I suggest you assume they're right until proven otherwise.Gassing Station | Home Mechanics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
