Looking to order some new detailing products and I’ve been wanting to purchase Surfex HD for a while after hearing about it all the time. I’ve seen it can be used on wheels, interior and as a apc at different dilutions. Has anyone used this for all 3 instead of buying 3 seperate products for those jobs ? thanks

It is an excellent product. I use it to deep clean tyres, door shuts, carpets and occasionally through a pump sprayer as a pre-soak for the bodywork.

Cheers,

Chris

Have you used it on the alloys ?

I've used it diluted a fair bit for cleaning seat fabric with a wet vac, did a brilliant job.

For wheels I use the Bilt Hamber wheel cleaner.

I’ve tried it, does not clean them like a dedicated wheel cleaner but does help get rid of some road grime before final cleaning.

+1 for Bilt Hamber wheel cleaner. By far the best I’ve used. The smell is enough to make me retch but what price sparkling alloys...?

You can also dilute the wheel cleaner and it's still extremely effective. Makes the price much more palatable.

It's fantastic stuff.

I bought a 5 litre job and have 2 hand sprayers with different dilutions made up - 80/20 for tough stuff and 50/50 for everything else.

Used to clean allsorts of car related stuff and degrease my mtb. It's also great for say cleaning a bunch of screws or fixings. Just fill a little bowl with 50/50 and soak them for 10 mins.

Last year I didn't even understand the point of APC's. Now I'm close to buying a spare vat of it in case I run out.

I mix Surfed HD with Autofoam and snowfoam the car with it. I'm not a detailer, but it does a good job of getting the winter dirt and grime off with a non-contact wash.

Yeah I’ve head nothing but good things about it but I don’t think my idea of using for all 3 purposes is logical
