Looking for recommendations please. Searching for someone to respray my Spider in the Midlands area.

Criteria is good quality, minimal orange peel etc. Show winning finish is not the goal.

Car is 90% stripped with all welding complete and still in it's original paint.

Thanks

I am sorry that I cannot offer a recommendation, but if you find someone whose work you are happy with, I'd be grateful for the contact details, as I need a bit of paint (not full re-sprays) for my 124 Sport Coupe and my Lancia Beta. I'd love to hear more about your Spider.

If you don't mind a little further afield (Sheffield) then Carter's of Ecclesfield are fabulous for stuff like that. They did a part respray on my GT Junior. (Door and sill) but they do plenty of full paint classics and Phil Carter is a gent. Prices are great as is the work and it's a family business. I've seen a 308 they painted from bare metal plus an Escort Cossie and my own car.

Happy to share my findings Breadvan, and yes that's a good idea. Will share some more details of my project.

Thanks for this, will check it out. I say Midlands however I'm actually in Bristol but the car is currently having metal work up the M5.

No worries. They deal with cars by transporter etc, I only went there after a personal recommendation myself.

You could try Tim King at John King & Son in Napton, Warwickshire, I've used him several times in recent years, always excellent quality.

A bit closer to home, Adrian Moore at Finishing Touch near Weston Super Mare seems to be highly thought of and specialises in classics, but I've not had cause to use his services yet.
