Just a quick one, does anyone know of anywhere that can clone a sime card and make a useable backup copy or a easy to use cheap device for doing this.

long story short lost my work phone 2 weeks ago no biggy i'll get it replaced no issue.

2 weeks later i've just had a new device arrive that still isnt working and on a different no.

rather than run the risk of this happening again i'd like to be able to copy or back up my sim then if if ever dissapears again just backup sim into a spare device and away i go without interruption

any suggestions welcome please

Whilst it is possible, I can see the difficulty and potential network issues it can cause making it a disproportionate problem just to have a spare. Particularly when a CSP will just send out a new sim with the same MSISD in a few days anyway.

You’d need a SIM reader and the know how to copy the MSISDN, IMSI and ICCID numbers from your original SIM to either a blank SIM or the ability to write over another one.

ideally i would love to just clone and slip it away in a drawer for an emergency.

just spend 2 weeks waiting on a replacement sim from work which has been a royal pain in the backside

There is no legitimate use for a SIM cloner so you won't get any help here on how to do it.

If you lose your phone you can have a new SIM next day and the number moved onto it by the next morning, that your employer doesn't care about you having a work phone is a different issue.
