it was reported in the local rag { press and journal }that 500,000 has been ring fenced for providing bus lane cameras in aberdeen , espically for a bus lane outside my flat .

To set the scence it is the main road out of aberdeen {south } from the centre of town which as it appoarches the main roundabout .

If they go a head this will mean tail back to the centre of town as it tails back for 2 hours solid now as it is .
If they do this it means absolute choas and people getting more frusated .

Help pistonheads tell me who to contact to voice my complete oppstion{sp} to this waste of mine and other hard earned brass

Hmmmn there are alledgedly bus lane cameras on the fulham palace rd in London. Though I have never seen one go off or have ever heard of anyone getting a ticket for it.

In fact, on the same stretch of road there are often 'sting' operations with new police recruits which sort of leads me to believe its all bollocks.

I wonder if the BiB's here can enlighten us further.

Matt.

The whole idea of more bus lanes, narrowing the access in and out of side roads, is to create more congestion with (there)(the powers that be)logic being that we will get fed up with using our cars and revert to public transport. It isnt going to happen, lets vote them out at the next election.BTW the bus lane cameras do work im proof of it a £40 fine from transport for london and a nice piccy of the back of my rangerover as a momento.
