Which Weber kettle ?
Discussion
I’m looking at the Weber site and can’t align your descriptions with theirs?
All the Master Touch series look to have the GBS Gourmet Barbecue System, which allows you to replace the centre of the cooking grille with other cooking surfaces - sear plate / griddle etc. The most expensive one(which isn’t the SE) comes with the seat plates (think steaks), which accounts for the pricing Over the middle one.
It and the middle cost one pick up some other features over the base version - hinged lid etc. There is a compare function so you can see exactly what you are getting.
They’ll all cook good food and will last pretty much forever if you look after them. None of them are a ‘wrong’ choice, so you’ll need to decide whether the additional features are worth it for you.
I’ve got the equivalent of the basic Master Touch, albeit a few years old now. I’ve just ordered the GBS grille to try the griddle plate, and bought the char baskets at the start of the season which are better than the standard wire charcoal retainers.

Any of them, if I saw the page you are getting your prices from, they are all 57cm.
With the GBS grate its good, the lifting wings make adding charcoal easy, as already said the baskets are better in some respects than the wire holders, you will need to buy a chimney and then set a lot aside each month for new toys. The most expensive has the first GBS insert, either quicker down the slippery road or not, but will allow you to to try and get grate sear on lumps of meat
GBS griddle, rotisserie, kebab set rib racks, normal stuff.
Oh yes, very good gloves and tongs also.
And thermometer, either wireless or instant read, depends on where your BBQ'ing takes you

They are all essentially the same. This website shows the main differences https://www.wowbbq.co.uk/blog/wow-bbq-weber-blog-1...

Think I'll prbably get this one, even ifs one of the dearest options....

I picked one of these up a few weeks into lockdown and it's been used at least 3 times a week, I use it for everything! Think I'll prbably get this one, even ifs one of the dearest options....

Did you get one?
For the simplicity of the design (and pretty approachable price for a basic one) they are very good pieces of kit. I've used mine almost every day since lockdown...kebabs, steaks, hot smoked chicken, low and slow ribs or shoulder, char grilled veggies...super versatile.

Not sure if you can get these in the UK but it's a game changer for the Weber.

Beyond the actually BBQ tech, my favorite discovery this year is how great Khmeli-Suneli (Georgian spice mix, with similarities to moroccan ras-el-hanout and Persian advieh, but more floral) is when used as a dry marinade for chicken on the Weber.
a 40:40:20 mix of the spice mix, chili powder and coarse salt makes just about the best chicken I've ever had from a BBQ. Its pretty much unbeatable on chicken quarters or halves - it even makes regular supermarket chicken (vs proper farm / butcher stuff) taste good - although the nice char and smoke from lump wood helps!

Just picked up one of the new model 47cm original kettle for £120 from B&Q. Have a sale on atm. Got the chimney starter kit and it’s great. So easy to fire up, I do not regret getting another gas grille.
Two zone method for me. Sear then oven. It’s not even that messy with a foil tray.
