DMF on an 08 1.4 Ibiza?

I have picked up an 08 Ibiza 85k miles which is making some noises, all signs point to release bearing but I'm slightly concerned it could be the DMF if it has one fitted. From what I can find DMF's weren't fitted until 2009 on Ibizas.

Can someone in the know confirm this please, or how can I find out for sure?
