Fiat 131? or if you have a lot of cash a Lancia Stratos not sure where to find one though apart from www.rallycarsforsale.net/ but they are rare cars.
Just convert a Mk2 Escort to LHD

How much do you want to win?
911s always seem to be good in historic races (and modern ones too!), if you can get away with a 3.2 carrera coupe or a 3.0sc with hydraulic tensioners they would be good bets.
Easy for spares, mods, upgrades etc etc.

get an alfa 2000 gtv, certainly cheaper than most of the suggestions here. not as desirable as models like the giulietta or the junior and easy to prepare.

Well i wanna have fun sideways @ gravel, screw winning.
At my age (40) i dont have the cojones honestly , and historic racing gives u all sorts of excuses...

Well I did own a Lancia MonteCarlo/X19/GTV6

Wot would do the trick would be a 131 Abarth or Manta/Ascona or MK2 but i cannot beleive the prices these guyw are asking ...
