Honda S2000 Rear brake rotor heating up

Hi I have a S2000 sk1, can’t find out why my brake rotor is overheating and heating up alloy. On checking after a short run temp is double that of other rear brake. Just had the Cali per refurbished? I’m wondering if I have put the slider pins in the wrong positions, one has a groove? Would that stop the disks from moving?

Well if you have the car there...look and see if they are able to move.

If it's heating up that much, it should be very easy to find the problem.

Sticky caliper or bearing on its last legs.

Yes, will strip calliper and investigate further.

Any whirring, although if you are using tyres like R888 which are noisy you might not pick up on it. Yeah there might be wheel wobble too.

Very unlikely to be a wheel bearing getting that hot without any other symptoms. OTOH seized or partially seized caliper pistons and slider pins are very common.
